Earlier this week Quentin was asked to help out on a radio show. To talk sports for an hour! I'm listening to it as I type and he really knows his stuff! I think hes such an amazing guy and I love him dearly. I'm going to give myself a few props here because I'm more than nice when it come to Quentin getting out of the house and doing his guy stuff since he's in a house full of girls. I don't think just any wife would not complain about several Saturdays in the year not having their husband home when your home with the kids all week, and on top of it I'm not feeling the best but think its great that hes happy and I support football, guy nights, Nice bangs (the band he's in), and many more things that he enjoys doing! So yay for me being so in love with my husband and wanting him to be happy!
He is/was on 98.3 WOW-FM.

I love my girls
On Wednesday nights Kimberly spends time grandparents while Quentin and I attend a Financial Peace University class and Clarissa has E.D.G.E (every day God experiences) When Quentin took Kimberly to Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Laura's house she picked this flower and gave it to Quentin. Then it was placed in this mug and sits on our stove. I thought that the mug and flower look so good together!
This puzzle is 500 pieces it took us 3 girls about 3 days to put together working on it at different times of the day. Kimberly put all of Tinkerbell together an a few of the other pieces. Clarissa helped with Goofy, Mickey, and Donald! The boarder was both Clarissa and myself and that is what took the longest! I love doing puzzles with my girls:)Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Kimberly's Turn!
Since I took the time and did a blog about Clarissa and her first day of school I thought it would be fun to take a moment and share some of my favorite Kimberly moments of the month. I must admit it was a little hard picking the ones I wanted to post because she has so many great in the moment pictures.Kimberly is a fun loving girl who is always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. She is the life of the party and everyone can't help but fall in love with her. She might be tiny but she has a BIG personality!

My amazing 3 year old has accomplished so much this year! She been riding her sister's big bike for a while now and is showing off her very big vocabulary with sentences that has more words than the average 3 year old. I found this out when she went to the doctor for a check up he asked if she was saying 4 word sentences, and right there in front of the doctor Kimberly then stated "Daddy I need to go potty now." That was in April now in September Kimberly says up to 8 words in a sentence. I have to brag because she wasn't a big talker for a long time and then out of no where she's talking like she knew how to the whole time she just didn't have anything to say! I'm very proud of BOTH my girls and I love them dearly!
School Days
Clare and mom ready to leave for Kindergarten
On August 24, 2010 Quentin and I took the day off to take Clarissa to her first day of Kindergarten and pick her up. We also had a busy day planned and Kimberly was eager to help mom and dad clean the basement! Clarissa woke up and came running into our room to tell us that it was her first day of Kindergarten and that she couldn't wait to be in all day school. I got up and gave her a big hug and told her how proud I was of her. I usually make pancakes and sausage but this year dad did. So I waited with the girls and we enjoyed talking with each other while breakfast was being made. I had laid out Clarissa's cloths and had her lunch ready to go. I have 5 important things every morning that need to be done and she knows every one of them needs done before we can do anything extra before school. Eat breakfast, brush teeth, put pajamas away, get dressed, and get hair done. We usually check the school schedule the night before to know when the out of uniform days are and she gets to choose if she wants to wear her uniform or not.
Clarissa was all ready and I had time to take pictures. I must say that I held back all tears and smiled so that Clarissa knew that I was happy and not sad but thinking about the day she was born and how close we were to loosing her I couldn't help but think of what a true blessing she is. Evey time she does something I just think we almost didn't have it but God gave us a miracle that day and its one I will never forget. I love her more than words! We got done taking pictures and it was time for school we got there and took a few more pictures and before entering we said a group prayer. Clarissa love to pray so this was important to all of us and we felt that it was very appropriate for the occasion. Clarissa headed inside and I followed her into the school to get a picture of her at her desk. I gave her a hug and told her that I loved her and to have a great day. I left the room and as I shut the classroom door a tear fell from my eye. I made sure she didn't see me and I quickly left and when I got out side I looked at the school and said God please watch over our little girl.
During the day I would look at the clock and try to figure out the different things she would be doing and I also was busy with cleaning. Kimberly LOVED having the toys and so much space to herself that she even asked me "Mommy when will Clarissa be home from Kindergarten?" I told her that Clarissa was getting out of school early today so we would lave a 2:00pm to get her. Kimberly smiled and was content with my answer. When 2:00 came I picked Clarissa up form school and she couldn't stop talking. WOW I thought I was the talker of the family :)
So Friday will be the mark of Clarissa's 1 month of being in school and she's just as happy to go to school as she was on the first day. When I drop her off she gives me a big hug and kiss and walks with a little hop in her step up to the corner of the sidewalk and waits for me to drive by. She waves her hand and give's me the I love you sign with her hand and then runs up to the school. I love that and I look forward to it every morning.
ENJOY THESE PICTURES!!!

100 Pieces
I love putting together puzzles and I'm happy to say that I passed my love of putting together puzzles to my daughters. I wanted to start doing more difficult ones with Clarissa (5 years old) because well the 24-50 piece puzzles where getting to easy, in Clarissa's words. So today after we got home from church and ate Clarissa and I headed to the store to see what puzzles they would have. We found lots of neat ones but there was a neat Disney 500 piece puzzle that looked like allot of fun and then this cute 100 piece puzzle that glows in the dark! Clarissa agreed with the puzzles and we brought them home. After rest time Clarissa and I put together the 100 piece puzzle and had it together in no time. She was very proud because She did most of it. I mainly did the boarder and a few fill in pieces when Clarissa did all the fairy's and water. I thought she did a great job and she really enjoyed the finished product. We are hoping tonight before bed to see if we can see it glow in the dark a picture I'm sure I won't be able to get but if I do I will be sure to post it :)
Clarissa VERY proud of what she did!

Going camping!
This weekend of September 11th-September 12th 2010 We had our annual Papa Ray and Grandchildren camping trip. This year the 3 oldest grandchildren (my 2 and my 1st niece) went camping and us mom's went to make sure Papa Ray didn't need any help. They had such a great time and made so many new friends. I must say it was so great to see the girls hanging out with friends and running around! I took several pictures but then my camera died :( so I'm only posting a few of the pictures I got before my battery died. My dad had the girls help him make dinner and also had them help put up the tent, clean up, and of course HAVE FUN! These girls had a wonderful time and are looking forward to next year. The girl's favorite part was the nature walk that Papa Ray took them on. I love creating new traditions for my children and this one I had no idea would become such a special tradition. This will be continued for a LONG TIME!

WE HAVE A NEPHEW
Today my sister in law found out that she will be having a baby boy! They have chosen the name Madden Gene I'm so happy for them and their little growing family! I've got to say that being a Aunt is one of the most amazing feelings aside of being a mother. I'm a proud Aunt to 2 nieces, a step nephew, and now this little guy! I'm ready to start shopping but in a SMART way! Congratulations Brenna, Charlie, and Landen :) I can't wait to meet him.Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Got To Love Kids!
Clarissa brought home a test today and it had a big star and sticker on it! Yay Clarissa I'm very proud of her and I hope she continues to do well in school. She loves it and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better teacher for her.

Today at home Kimberly was helping me get things cleaned up and I asked her to put the remote on the couch. I went on to do a few other things and then I got over to the girl's Barbie Dolls and started to pick them up when I find the remote on the Barbie couch. It made me smile my little 3 year old followed instructions. I just wasn't specific enough :)

Saturday and Sunday
I wanted to get on and blog yesterday but it didn't happen so I will blog today about it. Yesterday was Iowa's first football game so like usual Quentin and his friend went up to tailgate and then watch the game. I love football Saturdays because I get special time with my daughters. We started to go threw winter clothes to see what would and wouldn't fit them for the Fall and Winter seasons. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go swimming and we had a blast. I have even lost a few more lbs so it made me feel a bit more comfortable at the pool. We swam for a good hour and a half and then headed over to my mom's house to visit her since she broke her arm and she was feeling a little better to have the girls come visit. I dropped the girls off and I went to the store to get a few things. Both have been wanting to bring Barbie dolls to the pool but I didn't want them to get ruined so I always told them no. Well today I found two of my old dolls and said we could bring them. I got to the store and wanted to check out some Barbie's they had that I wouldn't mind the girls taking swimming and even in the bath with them. I found these beach Barbie dolls that were pretty cheap but I wasn't sure about it. I then came across two similar but different Mermaid Barbie Dolls. I thought to myself that they were perfect they both even somewhat looked like the girls. One had dark hair and greenish eyes and was pink and purple CLEARLY this one made me think of Clarissa. The second one had light hair and brown eyes with her colors being blue and purple. Now Kimberly has blue eyes but still it was PERFECT for her. I gave them to the girls and they freaked out with excitement. They couldn't wait to take them for a swim. I loved their sweet faces when they saw them I seriously wish I had my camera but I have the memory and thats just as perfect.
Today we had church and the girls did great they truly enjoy church and love seeing their friends, sing, and pray. They both were very eager to ask questions as well and I was more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. When we got home from church the girls "tried" to nap but they were restless so I took them for a walk while Quentin mowed the lawn. I can't tell you enough how much I love my sweet daughters and wonderful husband. I'm excited to have a 3 day weekend with them!
